In the challenging year of 2020, the International Sculpture Symposium Alliance (ISSA) had organized 13 sculpture symposiums. With the addition of new members from over 10 countries, the alliance now has reached 49 countries, consisting 103 organizers and over 4000 sculptors.
Big Events
January:
ISSA launched the International Sculpture Station in partnership with Yunzhu Lake Art District.
Prince Bader Al Saud, Minister of Culture of Saudi Arabia became an honorary member of ISSA.
March:
Bikash Lamal, Minister of industry, tourism, forests and environment of Nepal became an honorary member of ISSA.
May:
ISSA organized global charity event "100 countries, 100 masks".
June:
ISSA's associate member, Finnish sculptor Risto Immonen passed away.
July:
ISSA organizers reached three digits, across 49 countries.
September:
ISSA's honorary member, organizer of the Aswan Sculpture Symposium Adam Henie passed away.
November:
ISSA launched the International Art Collegiate Stone and Wood Sculpture Internship foundation in partnership with Huian County.
ISSA's associate member, Syrian Sculptor Aktham was awarded the highest honor by the Ministry of Culture.
December:
ISSA launched the international sculptor certification service.
