The 7th International Sáenz Peña Sculpture Symposium, as part of the ISSA Argentina program, was successfully
held from April 16 to 19, 2026, at Plaza San Martín in Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña. Sculptors from six
countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas participated in the event.
This internationally significant cultural gathering brought together outstanding artists from across Argentina
and around the world, further consolidating the city’s important role as a center for contemporary sculpture.
During the four-day symposium, sculptors from Germany, China, Honduras, Bolivia, Costa Rica, and various
regions of Argentina created works live in front of the public.
The event also incorporated innovative artistic formats such as a rapid sculpture competition, metalworking
demonstrations, and thematic exhibitions, strengthening cultural exchange between artists and the local
community.
The symposium was coordinated and organized by Cristian Alvarenga, with the support of the Municipality of
Presidencia Roque Sáenz Peña and sponsorship from Stihl, a company committed to promoting cultural and
tourism development in the region.
