ISSA Netherlands: A Sculpture Symposium in an Orchard

The 3rd Lingezegen International Sculpture Symposium, also known as ISSA Netherlands, was held in Ressen, 

the Netherlands, from September 4 to 20.

Five artists—Klaus Hunsicker (Germany), Karin van Ommeren (the Netherlands), Carlos Lorenzo (Spain), Daniela 

Romagnoli (Italy), and Jorg van Daele (Belgium)—created works for the new sculpture park in Lingezegen. 

Jorg van Daele was both an organizer and a participating artist.

The event aimed to help the park grow in the years ahead. While the previous symposium brought together

 five stone sculptors, this year’s group included three artists working in stone and two working in wood. 

The artists worked in an apple and pear orchard, where they welcomed hundreds of visitors.
