ISSA Bolivia: a Symposium Unfinished

In mid-March, Symposio De Arte Entre Amigos, a seven-day interdisciplinary event scheduled in San Xavier, Bolivia, was cut short after only two days due to the pandemic. Juan Bustillos, chair of the symposium, made the difficult decision of terminating the event that would lead to massive financial loss, in order to ensure the safety of the participants. Although Symposio De Arte Entre Amigos did not run its full course, it still is undeniably an essential part of ISSA 2020. The humanity and care demonstrated at the time of emergency has set an example for all the organizers.
