"100 Countries, 100 Masks" Attracts International Media Attention

In April, the International Sculpture Symposium Alliance (ISSA) launched the project "100 countries, 100 masks" which was answered by sculptors from over 100 countries. For two month, the project has attracted significant media attention and was published in many countries and regions including Argentina, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, China, Croatia, Egypt, Germany, Iran, Kenya, Kuwait, Macedonia, Montenegro, Morocco, Taiwan, Turkey and Uruguay.

"100 countries, 100 masks" was created in solidarity with the fight against the pandemic. Since February, many countries had closed their boarders which affected the organization of international events including ISSA symposiums. In showing themselves in protective gears, especially dust masks, the sculptors hoped to inspire people to take the safety precaution seriously.
