ISSA Member Reaches 100 Across 49 Countries

As eight symposiums from Norway, Lebanon and four other countries join the International Sculpture Symposium Alliance (ISSA), the alliance's member count reaches three digits, adding up to 103 across five continents and 49 countries/regions. 


In 2012,ISSA was cofounded in Tonglin, China, by seventeen symposiums representing ten countries. In 2016, with the addition of Australia's Griffith Sculpture Symposium, ISSA's footstep spanned across five continents. Up until now, ISSA has nearly 3000 registered users, 500 registered individual members across over 100 countries. The main sponsors of ISSA symposiums include national and local governments, cultural ministries, and national funds. All the directors of symposium also double as representative and global coordinators of ISSA, attending to responsibilities specific to each country. Every year, ISSA members would host over thirty symposiums across the world, and create hundreds of public sculptures.

Currently, ISSA members represents 49 countries and regions, they are:

Europe: Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Italy, Switzerland, Belgium, Netherlands, Denmark, Norway, Finland, Romania, Serbia, Albania, Czech Republic, Montenegro, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Cyprus; 

Asia: China, Japan, South Korea, Taiwan , India, Nepal, Iran, Turkey, Azerbaijan, Georgia, Lebanon, Israel, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Oman, Kuwait, Turkey; 

Americas: United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Bolivia; 

Africa: Egypt, Tunisia, Morocco , Kenya; 

Australia: Australia, New Zealand . 

Among which, Iran, China, Turkey, France, Spain, Italy, India, Egypt have three or more members.
