2022 ISSA International Sculptors Announced, 19 Qualified

The annual International Sculptor Certification Service, provided by the International Sculpture Symposium Alliance (ISSA) has recently come to a close. At present, a total of 170 sculptors from more than 60 countries have been certified. This year, 19 new artists were certified as International Sculptor of the Year for their large-scale public sculptures in more than five countries. Among which, 6 people were certified junior international sculptor, 12 people were certified the 1+ international sculptor, and Carlos Monge from Mexico took home the title of 3+ international sculptor, the highest level of certification to date, as it's meant for artists who have truly influenced the world.

The rules of the International Sculptor Certification Service are as follows:

ISSA doesn’t evaluate the level of artistry, the service is aimed to certify the number of countries the artist has an impact on. Title of certification depends on the number of countries and regions impacted by the artist. Junior International Sculptor (5 or more), 1+ International Sculptor (10 or more), 2+ International Sculptor (20 or more). The title upgrades with the introduction of every 10 new countries and regions, and it could be upgraded through submitting supplementary materials for recertification.
