ISSA Turkey \ Mediterranean Cruise stops at the Sculpture Coast

The 4th Kuşadası International Sculpture Symposium, and the second time of ISSA Turkey, was held in Kuşadası City, 

a famous tourist city on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea, from September 11th to October 20th, 

with the attendance of 12 artists from 7 countries, including China. The finalized sculptures were displayed

 on the shores of Kuşadası harbor.



Kuşadası is one of the most important tourism centers in Turkey and also the 3rd largest port in Turkey.

 Therefore, Kuşadası has an important share in international cruise tourism due to its favorable port 

and geographical conditions.Ibramaki Art Gallery belonging to Kuşadası Municipality was restored 

by Kuşadası Municipality in 2009. Ibramaki Art Gallery has been opened for use in cultural and artistic activities 

and hosts various activities such as painting, photography, sculpture, ceramic exhibitions, music 

and poetry concerts, creative drama trainings. Drawing attention with its traditional architecture 

and location, Ibramaki Art Gallery hosts an average of 400 events a year.In addition, Kuşadası Municipality 

has managers who value art and artists, and has been organizing the International Neopolis Sculpture Symposium

 for 4 years. Many sculptors from many countries of the world apply and the municipality is honored

 to host the artists in the best way possible.
