ISSA TUNISIA\ Sculpture Symposium in North Africa

The 7th Art Symposium "Together for Contemporary Art". and ISSA Tunisia was held at the Diyar El Madina 

Resort in Hammamet, Tunisia, from January 10 to 30, 2025, with events including painting, sculpture, engraving 

and ceramics, etc. Among them, Chinese sculptors Zhao Li and Qian Sihua attended the event.

 35 sculptors and painters from 18 countries including Mexico, Argentina, Canada, Italy, Qatar, Kuwait, Morocco, 

China ..... They gathered together for contemporary art that has an impact on space and time. Beyond Creating, 

the artists were given a tour of the archaeological site of Carthage, the Bardo Museum and the City of Culture, 

in addition to a visit to the El Jem Palace ...... To this day, installations, sculptures and artworks by the artists of 

the previous symposiums can still be witnessed at the Hammamet International Cultural Center.

The forum's founder and director, Rim Ayari, has visited dozens of countries for art exhibitions as a visual artist 

and was saddened by the fact that many people know nothing about Tunisia, while others see it as a dot on 

the world map. This prompted her to set up the "Together for Contemporary Art" forum to introduce Tunisia 

as a land of art, culture and civilization ...... To promote Tunisian plastic arts is one of the most important reasons 

for this annual art day.
