ISSA Italy/ Sculpture Symposium Reached Its 28th Event

28th International Stone Sculpture Symposium in Friuli Venezia Giulia, as well as ISSA Italy, returned to 

Vergnacco Sculpture Park this September.

The magic was repeated again this year at the Vergnacco Sculpture Park.Nine blocks of stone and marble, 

extracted from the quarries of Friuli Venezia Giulia, took shape thanks to the wisdom and creativity of nine 

talented artists from different countries. Dayafter day, from the mists of marble dust, over 17 days of hard 

work, they created nine splendid sculptures.

With their message and beauty, these works point to and tell usabout a different world, one of harmony, 

brotherhood, and respectfor others. These noble values  have been and are the cornerstonesof our

internationally acclaimed sculpture symposium.

The artists invited to this twenty-eighth edition are: HOYOUNG IM from South Korea, DARIO RIVERA from 

Honduras, ALESSIA FORCONI from Lazio, Italy, ALDO SHIROMA UZA from Peru, MICHELA TABATON-OSBOURNE 

from England, OMAR POUYE from Senegal, RAPHAELLE DUVAL from France, RENATO DE MARCO, FVG, Italy,

 and ANNA RASINSKA from Poland.

The organizer, Roberto Cossettini, and the entire staff thank theseartists who, in addition to having left us 

nine valuable sculpturesthat will adorn public spaces throughout our region, have beenable to recreate 

the joyful and collaborative atmosphere in ourcommunity that welcomed them with friendship and warmth.
