ISSA Belgium Member Receives Kalmthout Award for Cultural Contribution

On December 12, ISSA Belgium member Jorg Van Daele received the Kalmthout Lifetime Achievement Award for Culture. The award was presented by the Mayor of Kalmthout, Lukas Jacobs, with city deputies also in attendance.

This honor recognizes Jorg Van Daele for completing 60 large-scale public sculpture projects across 33 countries and six continents, as well as for curating exhibitions worldwide and providing opportunities for foreign artists to showcase their work in Belgium. The award itself is crafted from silver and wood, symbolizing the growth journey of an artist, much like the structure of a tree.
