Zhao Yong

Born in May 1977 in Beijing, China National second-class artist, member of China Sculpture Society,

Member of Chinese Sculptors Association, Member of Sculpture Committee of China Arts and Crafts Society,

Member of Beijing Artists Association and member of Sculpture Professional Art Committee of Hebei Artists Association

 

In 2003, he graduated from the sculpture Department of Xi 'an Academy of Fine Arts. In the same year, he has been working in the Beijing Institute of Human Space Sculpture. From 2005 to 2006, he worked in the office of China Sculpture Society, responsible for the exhibition and organization of foreign-related creation camp. For a long time, he has explored sculpture language and public art, and participated in the design of public art. Over the years, he has actively participated in and organized sculpture creation camps at home and abroad, and established outdoor sculpture works in many countries around the world. In 2022, he officially joined Hebei Academy of Fine Arts and became an associate professor in the sculpture Department of the School of Sculpture and Public Art. Head of HAFA Spiritual Creation (VR) Lab and Stone Carving Lab.

In 2017, he served as the on-site art director of Suide International Stone Sculpture Symposium, "Shangxian • World Famous State" sponsored by the Chinese Sculpture Institute. (CSI)

He is the planner and art director of the stone Sculpture Symposium of Discovery Journey of Hebei Academy of Fine Arts(HAFA) from 2019 till now, and the on-site art director of the International Public Art Symposium of China · Hebei Academy of Fine Arts(HAFA) from 2023 to now.
