Natural and responsible, these works propose creations that cannot exist without their environment, installations that connect nature, architecture and history. This approach is anchored in a desire to create works that are intrinsically site specific.

These are the fruit of observation, reflection, few sketches, multiple models, in order to find the right alchemy, the right balance.

Wood remains a medium of choice, bio-sourced and easily transformable, it carries within it the history of nature and humanity. Also the use of steel and ceramic has recently emerged, offering new possibilities, allowing reproducibility, increased solidity and certain durability. These mediums are new doors that open to an approach in perpetual evolution.

 

 

biography

 

Self-taught artist, elparo follows an artistic path that is shaped by travels and encounters. Yesterday painter and today sculptor his practice is in perpetual evolution.

 

His first concrete contact with the visual arts appeared in 2005 through graffiti. The medium was so airy, he deeply immersed himself in it, spending his weekends in abandoned factories.

At the same time he discovered, at the turn of a library, modern, abstract and contemporary art. He began to devour books and visit museums. From there, start his work on canvas.

He also carried out a daily work, his 'leitmotiv'. This approach was undertaken when he wanted to do his self-psychoanalysis on the basis of the Rorschach. However, there is no desire to interpret someone else's tasks. He decided to create his own forms, day after day, like the transfer of an emotion.

 

In 2013, an institution gave him carte blanche in an event on the theme of solidarity and social economy. Working with recycled objects seems obvious and his first volume appears.

From this starting point, site-specific installation/sculpture is at the center of his experiments. Not being able to be limited to a single line of work, the projects are diversifying. Thus a pure land-art approach, a graphic consideration or even the use of metal has emerged, all guided by the place where the work takes place.
